Good to have an area, where players can add there 2 cents from time to time. So post up in here if ever have something to add.

I'll start with SOUND. Pretty much every server I play seriously on these days, I get accused of hacking. If you have head phones you can use sound to your advantage. Most of the time I'm shooting just before someone runs out and gets a hs.

So listen for the footsteps, even if someones walking, they'll make a sound sometime.

I agree. I broke my headphones and played with my stereo speakers only for a while. I was so much crappier at the game until i got headphones again. Sound = ultimate win in CS/CSS

Good soundcard helps too.

Straz seems to know exactly where people will be, he has awesome headphones though.

Yeh roe, i have good headphones they help alot, if your looking to be a pro gamer, you dont just need a headset you need a gaming headset. logitec imo.. ive got it.
Helps ALOT serious you would not believe how much i pre-aim and shoot.

You can get a use-able headset for about $50 or so. The left/right sound and the microphone are kinda important in a game like CS.

Lad - i found that even a pair of cheap earbuds are immensely better than my stereo speakers (even though they're positioned well)
